Do I need to be referred for counselling by my GP?

No, you do not need to be referred by your GP. However, I do accept referrals from: GP’s, Charities, Organisations and Self-Referrals.

What type of counselling do you offer?

I offer in person and online sessions for both one to one and couples counselling.

How long does counselling take?

Each session lasts 50 minutes (individual) and 60 minutes (couples). The counselling process and length is different for each person depending on their issue. Counselling is offered for as long as it is beneficial.

How often are the counselling sessions?

Sessions are usually once a week, although there may be less frequent appointments where appropriate.

Availability of sessions?

I offer sessions by appointment between Wednesday to Friday (morning, afternoon & evening) and Saturday (morning, occasionally).

What if I can’t make a session?

I ask all clients to please give 48 hours notice to cancel or to reschedule. Failure to do so will be charged for a missed appointment. In exceptional circumstances, please contact me as soon as you know that you cannot attend.

Where are you based?

I am based mainly online but offer in person sessions on Wednesdays at Walsworth Road Baptist Church, Walsworth Road, Hitchin, SG4 9SP.

What are facilities onsite?

Free parking is available in church car park and limited spaces in side roads nearby. Sorry there is no waiting area, so suggest waiting car until your appointment. Toilets are available on site.

There is currently no disable/wheelchair access available, however, alternative arrangements can be made on booking.

Who do you offer counselling to?

I offer counselling to one to one sessions, couples and individuals 18yrs and over.

How much do you charge?

Individual Sessions: £60.00

Couples Sessions: £80.00

A discount of £5 per session is available when block booking four or more sessions.

How can I pay for my sessions?

Via bank transfer, at least 48 hours before the session. I will issue a receipt for your records. Please let me know if your sessions are being funded by a third party requiring an invoice. If I can help you further, please do not hesitate to email me.
